We’re off on our travels again. This time we are back to India, retracing the route taken by George Everest and William Lambton when they mapped India in the 19th Century.
They took nearly 50 years to complete their task - we’ll be driving the route they took, as closely as practical, in four weeks.
We have decided to give Sophie, our 1935 Rolls Royce a rest this year, and plan to take instead a recently acquired 1957 Bentley S1.
Ruairidh is coming with us of course and will provide his own commentary and pictures here too.

Monday 2nd March
We and our faithful Bentley ‘Bob’ have completed the rally and are anjoying a day’s break in Delhi before returning to a rather colder climate. It seemed strange this morning to get up and not be driving. It will be good though to stop living out of suitcases.
Our Bentley S1 arrived in India in October in a pretty dreadful state. This gave our friends in Udaipur just three months to complete a total ‘body off’ restoration.
Have a look at their progress HERE
