A stop at a roadside cafe for noodles and a cup of chi. We met a larger than life Englishman who was helping the local people build better services for their village. An enjoyable and worthwhile pause in the journey.
Kathmandu is a noisy, smelly and gridlocked city. Currently in the grip of a petrol crisis created by the Maoist opposition party, our organisers negotiated some fuel to get us on our way .
